UPDATED MAY 13, 2020
Dear Beach FC Families,
In an effort to keep you informed while we begin preparations for the Fall 2020 season we want to provide you with an update on our return to play strategy. We have been busy planning for a future where certain aspects of social distancing remain, but shelter-in-place restrictions are loosened and ultimately lifted. Significant uncertainty still exists regarding the timing of our return to fields. For now, here a few important decisions we’ve made in an attempt to ease some of the tension surrounding the upcoming season:
· First, 2020-2021 registration fees will be frozen (not increase) – Roots, Recreation, Advanced, Junior Academy, u9 Academy, Travel Lite, and Travel fees will remain the same as the previous year. Fee tables, as well as other information can be found by clicking http://beachfc.com/programs-1 .
· Second, our Board of Directors has adopted a resolution stating that if the Fall 2020 season is canceled before games begin due to another COVID-19 related disruption, ALL fees paid will be refunded. We recognize there may be some hesitation to making a commitment in these uncertain times and although we don’t know exactly what the post-COVID-19 future holds, we are attempting to eliminate as many concerns as possible.
· Third, our staff is currently working with facility management and evaluating government standards in our return to play modeling. As this information becomes finalized we will pass along our return to play guidelines in a clear and transparent manner to ensure our players and families are as safe as possible. Please note, Beach FC will only return to fields when permitted by government officials.
We would like to thank the Beach FC family for helping the club continue to navigate this unprecedented environment. We recognize the physical, mental, and social importance of youth sports and have sincerely missed the opportunity to provide that value the past few months. However, we remain in awe of the perseverance of our players and club membership during these trying times and we are excited to see some light at the end of the tunnel. We will continue to update you with all necessary information and wish our community health and well-being.
