Beach FC teams represented very well this past weekend at Memorial Day events throughout the mid-atlantic states.  Beginning locally with the Virginia Rush Ralph Downey Memorial Day Classic, 20 teams were either crowned champions or runners up.  Moving north to The Virginian  - the u14 Girls Red team came from a 2-0 deficit in the second half to capture the tournament championship.  The Beach FC u14 Boys Red team were in PA and had a great weekend capturing the FC Delco Players Cup Title (top bracket).  Finishing in Columbia, MD the u15 Girls Red captured the top bracket of the SAC Columbia Invitational.  In addition, the u16 Girls Red and u17 Girls Red finished top of their respective showcase groups.  

"When we put 25 teams in a tournament and 20 of them end up playing in Finals we feel like we are doing things along the right lines.  There were a number of age groups where our younger teams played each other in finals and all the games were very competitve.  For our teams that were out of town, to win prestigious events like The Virginian, SAC, and Delco in the highest brackets is a testament to the consistent hard work of our players and coaching staff." said Director of Soccer, Mark Waite.
