Teams
As you are aware, The Beach FC Coaching Directors and Leadership have changed the names of the Boy’s and Girl’s teams.
Boys Teams Example:
- 1st Team (U11-U18) - Beach FC Boys U11 “Nickname” Red
- 2nd Team (U11-U18) – Beach FC Boys U11 “Nickname” Black
- Note: The U10 Boys will be “Red” and “Black” without the “Nickname”
Girls Teams Example:
- 1st Team (U10-U16) - Beach FC Girls U11 Piranhas
- 2nd Team (U10-U16) – Beach FC Girls U11 Piranhas Elite
- Note: The current 17 and 18 teams will keep their names for college recruiting and tournament acceptance purposes
Reasons for the name changes:
- Help continue to create a single club identity
- Begin to create a “Club Culture”
- Help people outside the club understand the relationship between the Piranhas Pros and the Youth
De-emphasize “Premier” and “Club” label. Beach FC has traditionally had the top teams in the area, and to rename the teams will help outsiders who are unfamiliar with the Club, realize that regardless of the “Red” and “Black” name, both teams are of high quality.
