Subj:  Jr. Academy Reminder - Training Tonight and Tomorrow Night

Families of the Jr. Academy,

Just a Reminder that U6s and U7-U8s will train tonight and tomorrow at our normal times at the HRSC. After Friday, our U6s will have got all of their 10 training sessions in which means next Wednesdays training will only be for U7-U8s. We will start at 5:30 that day to try and get the most daylight. Sorry for the confusion!

With the weather getting colder, please be sure to have our players dress warm! For Game Day, try and have their jersey on the outside of long sleeve shirts or jackets, but if its to tight don't sweat it at all. I just want to ensure all our players are warm. Once they start moving, you'll be amazed how quick they want to shed their layers.

Futsal registration is filling up fast! Training starts indoors in two weeks to be sure to sign up soon if you're interested. https://www.youthleaguesusa.com/gnslite/camp/000411/Welcome.html

I look forward to seeing everyone for three straight days of soccer fun! Let me know if you have any questions.

Subj:  Jr. Academy Fall Futsal

Families of the Jr. Academy,

This Fall & Winter we will be offering indoor futsal training for our Jr. Academy players. This program will be a great way for our players to increase their comfort level with the ball through technical ball work. Futsal quickly develop skills like balance, motor ability, agility and co-ordination, ball mastery, accurate and quick passing and receiving, perception insight and awareness. Children learn through repetition and practice in small areas this occurs naturally. Here is a, link to the US Futsal Federation website with some great information about Futsal:  http://www.usyouthfutsal.com/AbouttheGame/whyfutsal/index_E.html

We will start off by offering Jr. Academy Fall Futsal sessions four Mondays in November. November 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th all at Baylake Pines at 4444 Shore Drive, VB 23455. The sessions will be an hour long and cost $50 for the four sessions. Sessions will be from 5:30-6:30 and 6:30-7:30. Space will be limited to 20 players per session so please reserve your spot ASAP. Jr. Academy U6-U8 fall futsal is session selection 'B.' Registration is open and the link is:

Futsal training will continue in December-February with additional dates and times TBD. This is all in an effort to keep our players sharp over the winter and really focus on their individual player development before starting back outside in the spring.

Please se keep an eye on the weather and check your email for updates before tonight's training. If you don't hear from me, we are on.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks!
