Subj:  Junior Academy U7/U8 Player ID Session Information

Dear Beach FC u7-u8 Junior Academy Player ID Registrants,

In preparation for tomorrow evening's Player ID session we wanted to pass along some important information.

Time and Location:  Tomorrow's session will be held at Hampton Roads Soccer Complex (2276 Recreation Drive, Virginia Beach) on fields 14 and 15 from 5:30-7pm.  (Field Map:  http://soccercomplex.org/map) Please do not park in the Center Circle at the complex without either a valid Handicapped Parking Pass or a current HRSC Permit.  The HRSC staff has been directed to tow vehicles that are parking there without valid credentials.  Note:  There is a concert scheduled at the amphitheater tomorrow evening which has the ability to cause backups on Princess Anne Rd and Concert Drive.  You may want to consider leaving extra travel time or consider parking at the back of the complex at New Castle Elementary School (4136 Dam Neck Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23456) and walking through the back gate of the complex.

Player ID Philosophy:  Even though tomorrow and next week are considered identification sessions please understand that this is simply another opportunity for the kids to play and for the coaches to gauge the players’ level heading into the fall season.  Beach FC Junior Academy in these age groups is an inclusive program, meaning that we are certainly not in the business of cutting 6 and 7 year old boys and girls.  If the staff feels that a particular player might benefit more from our recreation program, they will seek you out to discuss your options.  Tryout numbers will not be utilized for these age groups; there will be enough staff evaluating to help identify the new players in the program without the use of numbers.

Weather:  Please note that the weather is in question for tomorrow.  We expect to receive heavy rain at times during the day so we will have to evaluate the weather and field conditions prior to the session.  Please check your email and also the HRSC weather hotline (757.518.5176) prior to leaving for the fields tomorrow for any updates.

Thank you and please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.  We look forward to (hopefully) seeing everyone tomorrow.

Dear Beach FC Recreation Families,

My name is Gregg Mottinger and I am the Beach FC Jr. Academy Director. I wanted to let you guys know about another great program that Beach FC offers for our players looking to continue to develop their skills in the game soccer. The Jr. Academy is available for U6-U8 players and provides professional coaching from one of the best staffs in the state of Virginia.

The Jr. Academy is designed to bridge the gap between recreation and travel soccer. The goal in the Jr. Academy is to teach the fundamentals of the game of soccer in a fun and challenging training environment. The program follows a detailed curriculum that is constructed to have our players solve soccer problems in a competitive atmosphere. The staff is comprised of former collegiate and professional players with a wide range of coaching licenses and experience. This fall we will be entering our fifth year and the program continues to grow and produce the next group of elite travel travel players for Beach FC.

Dear Families of the JRA,

There is a major event at the Farm Bureau Live this evening that will likely cause traffic delays on Princess Anne Road and Concert Drive.  Please allow extra travel time to HRSC and/or consider parking at New Castle Elementary School (4136 Dam Neck Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23456) and walking through the back gate at the complex.

Have a great evening!

Subj:  Games and Training Tonight

Families of the JRA,

Tonight’s U7-U8 session will be on field 14 and 15. It’s on the right as you enter the complex.

Everyone should be in their black jerseys tomorrow for our game day. Also, a reminder that Mark Waite our Director of Coaching will be talking to all players trying out for the U9 Academy after the games tomorrow. We will meet at the center of the field around 12:05. Anyone else interested in just hearing about the transition is happy to stay and listen.

Don't forget to register for tryouts! Tryouts are only two weeks away and everyone interested in playing this fall must attend tryouts. The registration link is /_files/JuniorAcademy/Tryouts-PlayerID/index_E.html . As always, let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Gregg Mottinger
