1/9/2013 - Moore and Davis Invited to ODP Girls National Training Camp! Savannah Davis and Darby Moore of Beach FC 96G Red have been selected to the Olympic Development Regional pool. The Region One Girls' Olympic Development program is the first step towards making the U.S. National/Olympic Team Pools.

Savannah and Darby will be traveling to Phoenix, Arizona on January 29, 2013 through February 3, 2013 to train and compete against other Regional players. These games strengthen players' skills and prepare them for future competitions and hopefully, a place on the U.S. National Team.

This type of competition and training is necessary for the serious player who aspires to reach the National and Olympic teams. The educational and athletic opportunity presented help a player grow and mature in the sport and in life.  This event will also provide the players with an opportunity to be seen by college and national team coaches while also represent our region in the event.

The US Youth Soccer membership is divided into four regions. The regions are essentially East (Region I), Midwest (Region II), South (Region III) and West (Region IV). Within each region are State Associations, 12 to 15 each depending on the region.

1/9/2013 - Ella Bonner (96G Red) has been selected to US YOUTH SOCCER REGION I Girls ODP International Trip Germany February 14 - February 24, 2013. Ella was also recently selected to participated in the annual US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program Girls Thanksgiving Interregional, in Boca Raton, Fla.

1/9/2013 - Beach FC 96G Red crowned champions in the Disney Showcase U16 Championship! Beach FC Red 96G Red put in a fantastic team effort from the fifteen girls involved who saw the team score ten goals while only conceding two goals in the four matches at one of the top showcase events in the country.

The final game, matched Beach FC 96G Red against Melbourne Beach Tsunami 96/97 Select. Beach started the match a little tight in their play, as the game was back and forth with both teams fighting for the first goal. Beach FC would finish a goal just before the half to go up 1-0. Late into the second half Beach FC caught Melbourne in transition, and would put away a 2nd goal during the final minute of play to push the score to 2-0 win and provide Beach FC 96 Red with their 1st Disney championship.
Congratulations go to the U16 Red on their first Disney Championship in their first year playing in the event. The team is coached by Mike Gyori and Bruce Hatfield.

1/9/2013 - Beach FC 97G Red take U15 Girls Finalist Trophy at Disney Soccer Showcase! In the Disney Showcase Championship game, Beach FC 97G Red matched up against Hammer FC of Ohio. The game started with a very high tempo although no goals were scored. The scoreless first half continued into a furious 2nd half. In the 78th minute of the match a Hammer FC shot from outside of the 18 finished far post. The score would hold up giving the U15 Red a 1-0 loss in the final.

Beach FC 97G Red worked very hard all week and played excellent soccer as a team in order to get positive results. Congratulations to the team on their Disney showcase tournament success and for reaching the finals in their first year of playing in the showcase. The team is coached by Robbie Gobble and Dr. Sheldon Cohn.

12/20/2012 - AUGUSTE FOUT BLOOD DRIVE AT KELLAM HIGH SCHOOL. (view flyer) Auguste Fout is a member of the Beach FC 97G Red team and a current student at Kellam High School. If you know Auguste, she is a girl who is "full speed ahead" in her love of soccer and her love of life.

After a nagging injury, and lots of physical therapy, her family decided an MRI was needed to help get to the bottom of her pain. They received the news that there was a growth on her spine. The growth was a Ewing's Sarcoma, one of the rarest bone cancers primarily affecting adolescents. Auguste is now in the care of the best doctors around and her journey has begun to overcome this challenge.

11/19/2012 - Congratulations to Ella Bonner - Beach FC 96G Red on her US Youth Soccer Interregional Selection. Ella will participate in the annual US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (US Youth Soccer ODP) Girls Thanksgiving Interregional, which is set to take place Nov. 18-23 at Spanish River Athletic Park in Boca Raton, Fla. Teams from each of the four regions, comprised of 4 age groups (1995 -1998) of nearly 300 of the nation's top players selected from US Youth Soccer State Association and regional level evaluations, will participate in the six-day event.

Continuing its tradition of elite competition and player development, youth from the nation's top player identification program, US Youth Soccer ODP, will train and compete in front of national staff and collegiate coaches to maximize their exposure for selection to the next level of play. The 2012 US Youth Soccer ODP Girls Thanksgiving Interregional will include players in the 2013-2017 graduation classes.

US Youth Soccer is divided into four regions, Region I (East), Region II (Midwest), Region III (South) and Region IV (West) to assist in national competition and training. 10/2/12 - Beach FC Girls Night at Virginia Wesleyan College will be held Tuesday, October 2nd at 7pm. Virginia Wesleyan is currently 9-0-1 and ranked No. 9 nationally by D3soccer.com and No. 14 by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Come out and support the Virginia Wesleyan Marlins as they take on Salisbury University. Beach FC players should wear their practice tees to the game.

9/25/12 - Beach FC Night at Old Dominion University will be held Friday, Sept. 28 at 7pm. The 3rd ranked Monarchs are on a tear this season and will face conference rival George Mason in a nationally televised game (Fox Soccer Channel). Come out and support ODU, Beach FC, and the beautiful game. Players wearing their Beach FC colors get in FREE.
